Blog EntryWhat Life is to a MusicianOct 13, '08 11:29 PM
for everyone

There is no music in a rest, but there is the making of music in it.

In our whole life- melody, the music is broken off here and there by "rests",

and we foolishly think we have come to the end of time.

God sends a time of forced leisure- sickness, disappointed plans, frustrated efforts-

and make us a sudden pause in the choral hymn of our lives and we lament that our voices must be silent,

and our part missing in the music which ever goes up to the ear of the Creator.

How does the musician read the rest?

See him beat time with unvarying count and catch up the next note true and steady,

as if no breaking place had come between.

Not without design does God write the music of our lives.

But be it ours to learn the time and not be dismayed at the "rests".

They are not to be slurred over,

nor to be omitted,

not to destroy the melody,

not to change the keynote.

If we look up, God Himself will beat time for us.

With the eye on Him we shall strike the next note full and clear.

-Artist John Ruskin

Blog EntryThe Sky is the Witness Oct 2, '08 1:24 AM
for everyone

The sky is the witness of His faithfulness. All these pictures are taken from my balcony; the same sky- just different weathers.

We can rest assure that no matter the weather, He is faithful.

Be it when the sun rises from the east,

or when it sets in the west;

In a clear blue day-

Clouds that form:

A dove will remind you of His peace,

and a horse will remind you that He is with you in battle and wars;

Even if dark clouds make their way to your blue sky,

And threaten to make your days dark and gloomy;

Even if a worldwind comes in your way-

Remember to hear His still small voice.

Be reminded that His light will always break through the darkness,

And pierce through the storm,

And overcome the darkness.

When you are feeling discouraged, look at the sky and remember that there is always a silver lining behind every cloud,

And after the strom and rain- in a rainbow, remember His promises and blessings. And if you come with a quite heart before Him and look closely enough, you'll realize that His blessing are always overflowing ( 2nd rainbow above 1st rainbow).

All in all, we can stand amazed at how He makes our lives so beautiful and colourful.

Blog EntryYes, bored again!Apr 11, '08 4:52 AM
for everyone

OK, so you're in class. And you are absolutely bored with what the lecturer has been saying. He goes :" Teori moral yang pertama ialah..." Oh yes, you are taking notes but you write notes in 1 minute and he talks for like 30 minutes on the same slide. So, what do you do? DRAW on your NOTES!

Yes, ON your notes. :P Guess who? Darn. I guess my absolutely horrifying kindergarden chinese writing gave it away. Jay C. I couldn't resist drawing it. My mind was wandering and my hands were itchy and he was staring back at me for the past hour. Hey, but I really was listening and taking notes...see, the notes next to it is proof! :P

In case you're wondering, that doesnt' look like Jay C. Opps, but here's the real picture.

Chiao!

Blog EntryWedding of the year!Nov 26, '07 2:37 AM
for everyone

The piano played;

The bride walked down the aisle;

The father held back his tears;

The bridesmaids smiled;

The special kids did us proud;

The sermon was preached;

The choir sang sweetly;

The paparazzi clicked;

and now;

Her new man kisses her sweetly;

CENSORED

NOW, they are MAN AND WIFE;

Hand in hand, they walk down the aisle AGAIN-

To go home to their new life.

( After cutting the cake, that is.)

Home Sweet Ho- not just yet;

Dinner first!

Blog EntryThings to do when you have nothing to doNov 16, '07 10:25 PM
for everyone

Things to do when you have nothing to do:

Step 1

Take a ball of soft eraser OR  playdol

Step 2

Make something!

Reconigse this statue?

P.s. The flag and guns are made out of mechanical pencil lead. IT"S THAT SMALL!

Step 3

Demolish it and make something else

What about this one?

Step 4

Make YET another something else.

* wait ah, looking for picture.

Step 5

Bored of making stuff? No worries, grab your sibling's feet or your own and do this:

P.s. It's ticklish, so it's actually quite entertaining for the tickle-er and the tickle-ed. :P

Step 6

RUN!!!!! why? Because the tickle-ed is going to come after you and lick the camera!

These are my cousins trying to take pictures of themselves! CUTE! Yesiree, my cousin from UK were here. Mind you, they came here with their British accent, and British ways, and half-British faces BUT nonetheless, they came and conquered Malaysia!

We did loads of things during their stay here. Here are some of the thing we did:

 We played in the pool.

  and SNEEZED!

                                               and played make-believe.

                                                                     and drank LOTS of 100plus.

                                and tried to burn down Fraser's Hill. (kidding)

                  and played the RC car that Jason and I made together.

We did alot of other things too like singing and dancing to VeggieTales, acting out scenes, singing Lion King songs a zillion times, cycling and playing pirate-treasure ( AiYai Captain Samboss and Captain Bobby!). I even got to become their mummy for a few days- which included me putting them to bed, reading bedtime stories, singing bedtime songs and sleeping with them. The lil one even adopted me as his "False Mama"!

 Their wonderful parents!

I had a jolly good time! THE END!

P.s. for more information please ask me, email me, sms me or msn me personally. :P

Blog EntryEver Let It BeMay 9, '07 12:43 AM
for everyone

Ever let it be that I would praise You

Ever let it be that I would please You

Never let it be that I would turn away

Ever let it be that I would love you

Never let there be any gods above You

Ever let it be that I would sing Your praise

Always and forever keep me walking in Your ways

Never let me go astray

Always and forever lead me

I need You day by day

Ever let it be, ever let it be

Ever let it be that i would sing Your praise

My CNY was full of "odds" and "ends".

1. My grandmother has a "odd" way of washing dishes. How? Hmmmm if you ask me, I might consider telling you the secret of getting sparkling clean plates! Hehe.

2. I dont' have to travel to the "ends" of the jungle to find fly-eating-monster plants!!!! My grandmother has it right here in her garden!

3. My grandfather thought i was a CD player ( i was playing the piano and singing-syok sendiri)! Hmmmmm.

4. Ain't it "odd" going to Taman Negara for fun during CNY when most Chinese people are busy hanging out in their "kampungs"?

5. Taman Negara is full of very "odd" signs! Check these out!

Do vegetables puck themselves? Now, that is something i would like to see! Self Plucking Vegetables! HAHA. Self plucking lemon, self plucking chilies...

And what a classic this poem is! It's alright in BM but in english??????????? It's pathetic! What do these people learn in English class?! Oh, but i had a good laugh :)

WHAT? What do you have in the jungle? Wild Dogs, Tigers, DEARS, and BARKING DEARS? I guess some guy lefted his DEAR (wife/girlfreind) in the jungle; probably due to much BARKING (nagging).HEH.

6. I traveled to the weee "Ends" of Malaysia: Kelantan. Went to a nice beach too! (near the border of Terrenganu). The "Odd" thing was- instead of picking sea shells like any other normal person, i was busy picking dead fish. HUHUHU.
